Feed intake, digestibility and growth performance of Dorper-Menz cross bred sheep fed local brewery by-product (atella) and concentrate mixture at different levels of combination

The aim of this experiment was to evaluate the effect graded level local brewery by-product (atella) replacement concentrate mixture on feed intake; digestibility and body weight change Dorper-Menz crossbred lambs fed hay basal diet. feeding period 90 days preceded by 15 acclimatization period. experimental design Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with five treatments: T1 [Control, ad libtium]; T2 [25% atella + 75% mix]; T3 [50% 50% T4 [75% 25% T5 [100% atella]. Body changes were monitored fortnightly for 112 days. Data intake, change, subjected Analysis Variance (ANOVA) using General Linear Model procedure. Partial budget analysis performed profitability treatments. crude protein content above 20% can be used as a supplement. Atella alone or at different commercial has significantly increased gain sheep. positive results supplemented group clearly indicate potential atella. Based partial analysis, supplementation dried could recommended fattening male lamb.
